Q. General Questions?
Q.
What is a Uniform Display Case?
Answer: The Uniform
Display Case was created as a way for uniformed personnel to display
awards and decorations in a manner as close as possible to how they would
be worn on an actual uniform.
Q. How did you come up
with this idea?
Answer: Most retired or ex-service members all have their old uniforms
hanging in the closet or stuffed in a dawer with all of the awards
and decorations still attached - gathering dust and just taking up space.
This is a way to take your awards and decorations out of the closet and
mount them in a Uniform Display Case for all to see. Be proud of
what you have accomplished, you deserve it.
Most of the currently available awards display cases are just
simple blank shadow boxes and can only display awards
and decorations in a haphazard manner that does not simulate how they should actually be worn on a uniform - the Uniform Display Case solves that problem.
It looks outstanding when decorated with your awards.
Q.
Does this make a good retirement gift?
Answer: This is the ULTIMATE retirement gift!! What a better way
to top off a distinguished career.. Everyone can chip-in and buy a Uniform
Display Case for a retiring colleague.
Q. I am still on
active duty, can I buy a Uniform Display Case?
Answer: Sure, the uniform is easily removed so you can update the Uniform
Display Case when you get a promotion or when you are awarded additional
medals, etc.
Q.
What types Uniform Display Cases of do you sell?

Q.
What do I get when I purchase a Uniform Display Case?
Answer: You will receive the uniform display insert of a blank uniform, mounted in a frame with glass
front and easily removable backing, and then you attach
your own patches, medals, badges, etc.
Q.
How do I attach my awards and decorations to the Uniform Display Case?
Answer: The
back is easily removed and Patches are attached with double-stick tape
or glue/hot glue if they are permanent and you don't need to update
them, medals and pins just push-in (there is a ¼” Foam Board backing). For coins and other
heavier objects it is best to use double-stick foam or hot glue.

Q.
Can you use my actual uniform to make a Uniform Display Case?
Answer #1: (New Canvas Uniform Display Cases) We can do custom orders, using your uniform on a case-by-case basis
with a minimum order of 10 Uniform Display Cases:

a reproducible Uniform Display Case that is printed on canvas.

Q.
I see you have some decorated and some undecorated uniforms, why?
Answer: The decorated Uniform Display Cases were done by us to show
some of the possibilities of how a finished Uniform Display Case could
look. The possibilities are limitless, use your imagination. If you
come up with an interesting idea, take a picture and email it to us,
we would be glad to post it on our website.
Q.
Some of your decorated Uniform Display Cases have patches, badges or medals
that are not displayed according to regulations. Why?
Answer: Our motto is “You Earned it, You Display it” – so you can
decorate YOUR Uniform Display Case any way you choose. With the way
we have designed the product, it allows you to be as close to regulation
as possible, but some items simply look better if placed in a more symmetrical
manner. Our basic guideline is: If you are retired or ex-service displaying
the Uniform Display Case at home you can decorate it any way you choose,
whatever LOOKS BEST, if you are active duty and displaying it in your
official office or government facility it may be best to stick to the regulations
so you don't get critiqued by overzealous onlookers. We provide the “Collar
Display Area” and Display Bar” at the bottom and you can put anything you
want in these areas (again whatever LOOKS BEST!). See disclaimer here
Q.
What can I put in the Collar and Display Bar area?
Answer: Anything you want – Badges, Medals, Coins, Patches, Crests,
Pictures, Memento's, Souvenirs, Medallions, Bullets, Knives, etc, etc.
etc… If you come up with an interesting idea, take a picture and email
it to us, we would be glad to post it on our website.
Q.
Can I get a custom Collar or Display Bar area color for my unit?
Answer: We try to design colors and patterns that look good together and
compliment the uniform and organizational colors. We will be adding
many more color and pattern
options in the future. If you have a specific unit color or pattern
that you want
to use on one of our existing uniforms, we can do that relatively
easily if you can get a few members of your unit together (minumum
special order is 10), we can create one specially for your unit. Then
members of your unit will be able to buy as many as they want, forever.
Q. Why can't I simply make my own Uniform Display
Case?
Answer: First, we have several PATENT'S and COPYRIGHTS pending for
the Uniform Display Case and it's components, so unauthorized duplication is prohibited,
for questions in this matter contact legal.department@uniformdisplay.com
Second, we have spent a lot of time and effort to design
the right methodology for mounting a 2D representation of a 3D uniform
in a frame for display purposes, it is not as easy as it looks to get
it right. There are many enhancements and modifications required
to get the uniform to display properly.
Third, if you tried to do this yourself it would most likely
end up ruining the uniform costing you more in the long run. We have
designed the perfect product for displaying your awards and decorations,
ready made and all you need to do is decorate it.
Q. Are the Uniform Display Cases made with real uniforms?
Answer: The new Uniform Display Cases
are made using a high resolution image of real uniforms, mounted in our
patent pending process, then photographed, digitally enhanced and
printed on real canvas (not paper), so you can reconfigure the
decorations if neccessary.
Q. Are the Uniform Display Cases available in stores?
Answer: They will soon be in many stores nationwide. You can subscribe for
updates here: update.me.please@uniformdisplay.com
Q.
What size is the Uniform Display Case?
Answer: The Uniform Display Case Dimensions are 28.5" Wide x 24.5"
High x 1.75" Deep
- Our unique mounting process [multiple
patent's pending] enables the frame to be very thin as compared to
other blank shadow boxes, therefore creating a very sleek and handsome
look.
Q. This is a great idea! I would like to sell your
Uniform Display Cases?
